Airport It Engineer
Current- Provide a break-fix support service to London Stansted Airports Check-in/departure system named CUTE (common use terminal equipment) supplied by SITA. This compromises of around 250 workstations across the site and home to several airlines own systems. Each workstation consists of several peripherals including Bag tag printers, Barcode scanner, Oki document printers etc.- IT support for the onsite EasyJet base offices and crew room- Provide a 1st/2nd Line support to the UK Border Force to support their ePassport Gates system onsite at STN. The ePassport Gate is an automated system that checks an E.U chipped passport with the passenger to allow them access across the UK border. There are 5 gates in total and consist of a very complex hardware/software set-up including 3D sensors, passport scanners etc.- Provide onsite hardware support for Ryanair’s IBM Self-service Kiosks, which stand at a quantity of 40 at STN. Ensuring all 40 are in operation 24/7. Hardware includes touch-screen/PC assembly, custom printer, Chip and Pin units and OCR readers.- Carry out minor repairs in our onsite workshop- On occasion cover other ESP/SITA supported airports; to date these include Geneva, Southend and London Luton Airports.- Perform daily preventative maintenance checks across the site to all workstations (CUTE) to deter any unnecessary breakages.
