Working on HPE’s Insight Remote Support product. Insight Remote Support is software that monitors different servers on a network checking for hardware failures that may occur in the near future, allowing HPE to schedule downtime to fix these failures before they occur. In this role I have extensive experience of testing using VMWare tools as we do all our testing on virtual machines and have also gained more networking knowledge of protocols and communications between end point devices. Currently I work with Agile Central (Rally) to write test cases, create test sets and log defects I also have extensive knowledge of Quality Center, which is the tool that we used prior to moving to Agile Central. I was also involved in the investigation of automating test cases using Quick Test Professional (QTP) and powercli.I’m the Lead Tester on the Insight Remote Support client team, we use Agile Central (Rally) to track stories in the SAFe Agile environment. I have worked with ‘git’ which is a distributed version control system, jenkins and done development work with Fitnesse and Java

Working in the Telecommunications industry I have experience testing prepaid charging solutions (real time), SMS, GPRS regression and load testing on Charging Gateways. I also have gained experience in writing automated test cases in Java and some perl scripting. The platforms that we use are SYBASE (RDBMS) on a UNIX platform along with XML programming.I also logged defects found in the testing process and followed up on the status of the defects with the developers.

I provided support for live customer systems on a contract basis from home. This involved maintaining live Warehouse Management Systems. The systems were developed using SYBASE (RDBMS) based on a UNIX platform. The front end screens for these Warehouse Management Systems were developed using APT.

Employed as a Test and Deployment engineer on a two month contract basis. This involved the testing of the integration of a RDBMS with the JDEdwards ERP system. My role included writing test scripts and testing the functionality of the system prior to UAT testing. Every morning at 8.30am the team had a SCRUM meeting to make people aware of what progress was made the previous day and what the plan was for the day ahead.

Based initially in the Customer Support Unit, my position entailed supporting live warehouse management systems developed by Blackbird Data Systems. The systems were developed in SYBASE (RDBMS) based on a UNIX platform. The front end screens were developed using APT. This involved dealing with customer support calls and logging into various sites via modem to troubleshoot issues and fix bugs as required. I also made code changes to these systems as required and tested changes made. I also worked as a Network Administrator here
