Current-Develop VA Residential Contracts with community-based residential programs as part of the Health Care for Homeless Veterans Program, which provides emergency housing for more than 500 Veterans a year. Provided support and coverage for contracts related to VASH, VJO, and Medical Social Work.-Renew existing contracts (12 emergency housing, 5 other contracts) using the eCMS database and create funding documents in VISTA.-Enforce the terms of the statements of work and monitor quality of care provided by the residential programs. -Monitor budgets and availability of funds. Make the case for more or less funding when spending is effective. Secure future funding and identify lag funds to pay for renewal of contracts. Total budget managed in 2015 is $7.5 million.-Perform and coordinate annual inspections of residences with the help of Social Work, Nursing, Facility Safety, Law Enforcement, and Food Safety Departments.-Monitor the success of programs to assist veterans secure income and long term housing. Create strategies to improve contractors' ability to meet performance measures.-Report and Monitor Data to VA Central Office using HOMES Database, Operation Planning Tool, and Gap Analysis.-Directly assist veterans and agencies with the process of assessment, referral, admission, treatment planning, reservation extensions, and discharge from the programs. -Coordinate with other VA programs, and programs in the community, to succeed in the 5-year plan to end homelessness among veterans.
