Carbon Capture and StorageNexGen Carbon Solutions, LLC ("NexGen"), Horizon's wholly owned CCS subsidiary, has formed a 50% owned joint venture in northeastern Oklahoma ("JV"). The JV has recently launched the development of a sizable point source capture project (the "Project"). Phase I of the Project comprises approximately 75,000 acres of contiguous surface carbon storage leases, with the objective of capturing, transporting and storing 120 million metric tons of CO2 in the pore space beneath its carbon storage leases over a projected 30 year injection period. Additional phases are planned which can more than double the Project size.

Horizon has transformed into an independent energy transition company, integrating both carbon capture and storage ("CCS") projects and traditional natural gas exploration and production assets. Horizon is providing traditional energy to fuel the world's growing energy requirements while mitigating the damaging effects of climate change.
