I am currently a Nuclear Operations Plant Instructor with a Senior Reactor Operator Certification. I have successfully completed the National Academy for Nuclear Training Instructor Certification Program.Previously I was the Fire Protection System Engineer at the Farley Nuclear Plant as well as the Thermal Performance Engineer. I ensured the readiness of systems required to fight fires in the remote chance they occur. I also reviewed procedures, design changes, modifications, etc to ensure they meet the needs for plant safe shutdown.As the Thermal Performance Engineer I analyze the steam plant performance to maximize electrical production to the grid through data analysis, plant walkdowns for cycle isolation, and trending.In the past I have been Shift Operations Leader for the ceramic nuclear fuel process at Global Nuclear Fuels. I am familiar with rotary powder press operations, centerless grinding, and resistance welding with zirconium fuel rods. I also previously worked for GE Consumer and Industrial as a Product Engineer, Process Engineer, and Business Team Leader. Six Sigma training and certification as well as experience with Lean Manufacturing were part of my experience while working there.After College I became an Officer in the US Navy serving onboard submarines. I was nuclear trained with a license to supervise reactor operations, and later achieved my Engineer certification to serve as the ship's Chief Engineering Officer.
