Led a group of 2—6 engineers all working on various individual projects. Led teams of 2-4 engineers working together on a common project. Established many of the department roles, responsibilities and processes and helped to document them. Participated in many technically challenging projects personally in order to stay on top of ever-changing technology and certification challenges. Oversaw the work of team members and approved their work for release. - Reviewed quotations and constructed a plan for supporting the project with required wiring diagrams, schematics, reports and analysis. - Met with customers at arrival and reviewed the quoted work with them while listening to their expectations for their aircraft. Worked to ensure their expectations were met by our designs.- Worked closely with the installation crews to help solve their issues and adapted our designs to meet their needs. - Worked closely with the Gulfstream ODA to develop numerous FAA STCs, and on numerous TC and MRA project approvals for system installations where a STC is not required.- Supported company checkout, ground and flight tests for major installations. Performed the role of test director and worked with the test pilots to plan and execute the flight test cards. Routinely flew in the jump seat and assisted the test pilots with learning the newly installed systems.

Began career in Liaison Engineering and learned a lot about where engineering went wrong and used that experience to make sure I didn’t perpetuate these mistakes when promoted to the Engineering group. Led teams of 2-4 engineers working on a common project. Worked with Systems Engineers and Certification Engineers to ensure the project designs were done to meet their expectations. - Reviewed Work Breakdown Structure and constructed a plan for supporting the project with required wiring diagrams, schematics, reports and analysis. - Maintained a close working relationship with Systems Engineers and gained their trust thus making their jobs easier.- Worked closely with Test Engineers and Test Director and supported their efforts with my in depth knowledge of the newly installed systems. - Developed a new process to speed edgelight panel design and manufacture by providing undimensioned artwork to the vendor.- Helped to develop a company standard (TAS) for configurable PCBs that could be used in control panel designs for commonly used circuits.
