Stephen joined Arup in 2010 as a summer student and became a full member of staff after graduating from Dun Laoghaire College of Further Education with a Diploma in Architectural Technology and Computer Aided Design. Stephen has since continued his studies part time at TUD Bolton Street and received a Degree in Civil Engineering Technology in 2018 while working as an Engineering Technician in the Civil Infrastructure Team. Currently Stephen is working as a Project Engineer in Civil Infrastructure with the Site Development Team at the Dublin Office.Stephen is currently responsible for the design, review and assessment of infrastructure requirements for building projects in Ireland. His knowledge and experience are in Civil Infrastructure / Masterplanning for a range of projects including but not limited to, Third Level Colleges, Roads, Power Stations, Breweries, Mixed-use Developments, Commercial, Residential and Health Care. Stephen is proficient in the use of 2D AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Google Sketchup and Microdrainage software and is an active member of the BIM Implementation Team Ireland.

I joined the Dublin Buildings Group in Arup Consulting Engineers in 2010 as a summer student while studying for a diploma in Computer Aided Design at Dun Laoghaire College of Further Education. I have since achieved a Higher Certificate in Civil Engineering from DIT Bolton Street through part time study and intend to continue to attain a Degree in Civil Engineering. I am currently employed as an Engineering Technician in the Dublin Buildings Group and involved in the preparation of general arrangement and detail drawings for a variety of civil/ structural projects. My knowledge and experience is in Civil Infrastructure / Masterplanning for a range of projects including but not limited to, Roads, Power Stations, Breweries, Mixed-use Developments, Commercial, Residential and Hospitals. As I progress in college and within the Water Services team my influence and opinions have become an intrinsic part of the design and drawing production process. I am proficient in the use of 2D AutoCAD, Autotrack, Civil 3D software and BIM modelling with a growing knowledge of Revit Structure and Google Sketch-up. I have been involved in the roll out of BIM and have produced Civil 3D and Revit models for a range of BIM projects.
