Predominately involved in the Scotway House Student Accommodation development, as part of the wider Glasgow Harbour Masterplan. Responsible for managing day-to-day queries, responding to on-site queries from the Main and Sub Contractors. and developing the inital GA Layouts to technical and construction standard. Also responsible for collating and managing planning and building warrant applications, ensuring application stages were in keeping with works on-site.

Worked in the GT2 Design Team for Keppie Design's Glasgow office; working towards my Part-3 examination and chartered qualifications. Keppie Design is a multi-disciplinary practice and offers services in architecture, town planning, interior design, landscape architecture and urban design. The company also had an extensive amount of experience within the healthcare, education, commercial and retail sectors.

Worked in the Property Division of ACCESS LLP during two different periods; positions I was recommended for after my previous employment with Glasgow City Council’s S.W.S Design Team. The joint-venture organisation provides a leading role for site identification, feasibility reporting and design proposals for various sectors of Glasgow City Council. My duties included developing design proposals for various sectors of the council, conducting site surveys for both design and building condition reports and researching Committee Reports and Historic Scotland Status for existing properties. I was also appointed Move Co-ordinator for the company’s relocation to a new facility and was responsible for managing over 30 members of staff. I was able to gained valuable experience working in Stage A-C of the design process, maintaining a close relationship with the client and improving my knowledge about Building Regulations and existing Scottish legislation

Glamis, Angus

Began my post Part-1 practical experience working for a medium sized practice in Angus for a period of 6 months. Duties were primarily involved in the Stage B-D stages of a number of small-scale domestic projects; while also learning about working closely within a design team, incorporating numerous client changes and studying the most up-to-date building regulations. I gained valuable experience conducting site surveys and drafting this information to the required standard.xxxWindow and Lintel schedules were useful in developing my technical understanding. Gained experience in gathering information for submitting projects for Planning and Building Regulations. This is also included learning about Local Authority regulations, application fees, and neighbor notifications.

During the Closeburn Street and Brook Street projects, I was primarily responsible for going on site and recording the measurements of the existing buildings and bringing this information up to drawing standard. This process included performing the site survey itself, the drafting of the measurements, consultation with the client, and preparing the drawings and observed various Design Team meetings during my period at the office, learning valuable information about day-to-day running of an office, dealing with clients and representation and designing within an documentation for issue.. I was also involved with office management, and preparing various drawings for client meetings, building warrants, and issue
