Production Engineering Department Supervisor
CurrentSupervise an energetic department that overlooks efficiencies, manufacturing processes, equipment expenditures, environmental permits, and facility expansions. Managed the addition of five new manufacturing facilities in Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota, NewMexico, and Antofagasta, Chile totaling over 290,000 sq-ft of additional production area.Working closely with all contractors, city, state, and federal regulatory agencies. Managed a 90,000 sq-ft expansion project relocating 90% of all production operations to a new facility with minimal production lose. Managed all federal and state environmental permitting and maintained compliance for five separate U.S. L&M Radiator facilities for 18 years.Manage production equipment selections, ROI's, purchases, upgrades, and installations for all facilities to keep a competitive edge in the global market. Purchases to include Fiber Lasers, 350-ton Press Brakes, Automated Coating Systems, CNC Machining Centers, coating systems, and material handling equipment.Initiated new production practices that improved 30% savings in direct labor.Contribute to annual budgetary process for future purchases to match potential sales growth and expansion.Create annual department expectations to compliment company’s annual goals andensure quarterly goals are met. Responsible for production efficiencies in now two US facilities, Antofagasta, Chile, and Perth Australia facilities.
