Working as a senior representative to Operations and reporting directly to the VP Operations, I acted as an account manager to our IT department. In this role I was responsible for establishing a system to review and prioritize ongoing projects and support requests for Operations and work with IT to establish the priorities. In this role, I gained a much better working understanding of manufacturing, packaging, labs, quality, logistics and distribution functions.

From the early years at Apotex until late 1999 I spent my time in the IT field. My expieriences range from providing programming support in MAI Business Basic, hardware support for MAI and PC hardware, Novell network administrator, desktop support etc. In 1997 we undertook a project to implement our first Help Desk. I held various roles including Supervisor and Consultant within the IT space.
