Big Steve Creative
CurrentA Melbourne-based video editor and animator who’s also known to dabble in design. With the 15 years of experience I have in video production and a network of absolutely legendary experts I can call upon if needed, you can sleep easy knowing that your next creative video project will WOW your audience, engage your customers, and impress your boss.Throughout my career, I have worked both for myself as a freelancer and for multiple large brands and companies. I have spent years as a Video Producer, managing the end-to-end video production process at companies where our engagement targets were in the double-digit millions – which we smashed, by the way. I have spent years working with and contributing to brands' marketing teams in the pursuit of achieving their goals (and hitting their KPIs) through the utilization of effective video content. I have worked as an editor in all sorts of fields but have found myself mostly in the narrative script-based comedy space, the tech education space, with a little bit of fashion thrown in the mix.I have discovered and implemented industry-standard processes over the years in order to maximize creative output and ensure that the content a brand is sharing is both impactful and valuable. While yes, working on video projects is creative and fun, they must also be managed and accountable to get the best results for both the output of content and a company’s budgets, schedules, marketing goals, and activities. By collaborating with Big Steve Creative, you can rest assured that I have been in that world, I understand it, and I have developed ways of working so your next creative video project can run seamlessly, on time, and within budget.I am someone who lives and breathes creativity; my mind is endlessly coming up with ideas for all sorts of things. I have a passion for storytelling, the knowledge to back it up, and the professional industry experience to deliver.

Video Producer
This role saw me driving and setting up all the video production needs of ‘CatchLive’, a livestream broadcast shopping show. My role focused in two main areas.1. Studio Manager - All production aspects of the livestream episodes (anywhere between 1 and 5 shows a week) met, set up, working and running on time for livestreaming2. Producer/Director/Cinematographer/Sound/Lighting - Generate creative ideas to produce and film pre edited segments to be inserted into the live episodes, anything from comedy skits to product demonstrations.Livestream.- Make recommendations on hardware and software to ensure livestream would runseamlessly without connection dropping.- Set up and operate all video production equipment (camera, sound, comms) andstudio (lighting, green screen) for live show and rehearsals.Video Production for pre edited segments. As the ‘video specialist’ for the department, and working as a ‘one man band’ type set up.It was my responsibility to produce all the pre edited video segments that would appear in the livestream. This meant working to tight deadlines and undertaking every role of production (up until post) to guarantee the segments were ready for the episode date.
Video Producer / Video Content Creator
End to End management of Sportsbets’ OVC (Original Video Content). Nailing expected quality, brand image; On time and within budget. Hitting view/engagement targets (Exceeded 13 million views target for 2016). To effectively perform this role required my working autonomously, with tight deadlines and exceptional time management; whilst ensuring other team members were completing their tasks on time. In 2017, my role transformed into a more specialized and focused role, Video Content Creator. This meant that instead of overseeing the broad “Video Production” process, I would concentrate my efforts on working more closely with the director of the OVC videos in developing character, location and props briefs, attending talent castings, location Recce’s and completing storyboards. Further to this, the ‘Integration’ videos amplified and saw me owning the process of all of our in house Market Update, Integration, Sponsorship, High Value Customer and Personalized videos.
