My role as Safety Operations Assistant at Leicester City, oversees many different and varied tasks. From the booking of up to 400+ matchday staff, to researching and implementing new systems within the club. I am responsible for the equipment and logistic operation on matchdays, I help train and sometimes take on roles within the matchday control room, I facilitate in the recruitment process of matchday staff, interviewing, inducting and training. On matchdays I make sure we have the numbers of staff required to then report to the Safety Officer, to help facilitate the safe opening and entry of up to 32,000 spectators. Within my role I have also undertaken many training courses to help me undertake the role, Furthermore supported by the Safety Officer and other senior staff I have learnt key and valuable Safety and Operational skills, learning the Safety within sports grounds has given me vital and key decision making tools. In my role as a Sales Rep, I would deal with customers ticketing queries, over the phone, email and on matchdays face-to-face. I would use ticketing systems such as SRO, I would also take on projects in membership and ticketing research to better our schemes. Working directly with members of the public and in turn our supporters has helped me build close relationships with our supporter groups such as Foxes Pride.
