I've started working with pi-top, - a learning company producing the amazing pi-top 3 and 4 computers which learners build as they begin new 'maker' curriculum projects. My focus will be on supporting the roll-out of this technology and learning philopsophy in developing countries.

Having been born in India and brought up for my early years in Nepal, it is a great privilege for me to be returning to this area of the world in my new role as CEO of Mondo Foundation. Mondo is a small charity which 'punches above its weight' and for the last 16 years has been pioneering school building, gender equality and livelihoods programmes in Nepal, Tanzania and NE India. we work through a community development framework co-designing programmes with local partners on the ground led by nationals. Facework is a unique employability programme which I co-designed with young excluded learners over a 3 year period whilst I was at Inclusion Trust. Since the Inclusion Trust closed at the end of 2016 I have been working with a number of organisations and a new AP Free School to continue to develop Facework.

As CEO I developed a pioneering and high profile charity in a competitive environment successfully expanding the organisation, its profile and reputation both in the UK and abroad.Achievements include: Secured EU, Government and Corporate funding (over £500K a year) to run and expand pioneering programmes. Funders have included: Microsoft, BT, C&W, Vodafone, Symantec, DCSF, Home Office, EU, Disney, and British Council. Appeared before and gave evidence to Government DCMS Select Committee and advised key leaders on issues of E-Learning and in particular children's safe use of the Internet. Including making presentations to MPs, industry leaders, opinion formers, funders and the media. Member of the Home Secretary's Task Force on Child Protection on the Internet.Developed strategic partnerships with a range of organisations including Police, Microsoft and international organisations. Replicating and localizing programmes in the Caribbean and Egypt. Including running of Childnet Academy programme in 7 different locations worldwide. Oversaw the development of Education Policy for the DCSF on Cyberbullying in schools and disseminated this guidance through conferences, media, films and leaflets to all schools. Delivered maximum impact throughout the national media being a regular expert on E-Safety for both TV, Radio, Broadsheets and other publications. (Including live BBC, CNN and Sky TV broadcasts). Key note speaker at international conferences and to a diverse range of audiences across different sectors; including MPs at the House of Commons, Government officials in Korea;

Director of Fundraising and Communications See www.cuf.org.uk Duties & Achievements Directing fundraising activity with responsibility for 4 staff and raising £1.5m by April 98Responsibility for overseeing national 10th anniversary celebration special events.Member of Senior Management Team and responsible for servicing 2 Trustees' groups.Successful in raising the level of support from donor base. (£750,000 in 12 months).Produced charity annual report, newsletters and effective fundraising resources plus new branding.Secured major sponsorship from BT for 'Thank you' road show. Touring to 12 cities in 6 months plus organising receptions at Lambeth Palace with Archbishop of Canterbury. Organised major national 10th anniversary event at Coventry Cathedral with over 1,000 people Left employment as I was head-hunted to work for Childnet International in May of 1998.

Duties & Achievements Member of Management Team with responsibility of raising £350,000 p.a.Specific charge of corporate, private sector, churches and individual fundraising. Responsibility for developing the charity's public image and devising PR strategy.Managing 5 staff and a volunteer literacy programme, with over 20 volunteers. Successful in increasing supporters and funding for charity year on year.Produced 5 annual reports, one of which was nominated for an award.Co-ordinated press and PR (articles in national press) appearing on live TV and radio and visit of Archbishop of Canterbury to project with Guardian newspaper feature article.Established a successful volunteer literacy programme which was awarded a nationally recognized Quality Mark from the Basic Skills Unit.Left employment as I was encouraged to apply for post at CUF - one of PECAN's funders.
