As CEO I developed a pioneering and high profile charity in a competitive environment successfully expanding the organisation, its profile and reputation both in the UK and abroad.Achievements include: Secured EU, Government and Corporate funding (over £500K a year) to run and expand pioneering programmes. Funders have included: Microsoft, BT, C&W, Vodafone, Symantec, DCSF, Home Office, EU, Disney, and British Council. Appeared before and gave evidence to Government DCMS Select Committee and advised key leaders on issues of E-Learning and in particular children's safe use of the Internet. Including making presentations to MPs, industry leaders, opinion formers, funders and the media. Member of the Home Secretary's Task Force on Child Protection on the Internet.Developed strategic partnerships with a range of organisations including Police, Microsoft and international organisations. Replicating and localizing programmes in the Caribbean and Egypt. Including running of Childnet Academy programme in 7 different locations worldwide. Oversaw the development of Education Policy for the DCSF on Cyberbullying in schools and disseminated this guidance through conferences, media, films and leaflets to all schools. Delivered maximum impact throughout the national media being a regular expert on E-Safety for both TV, Radio, Broadsheets and other publications. (Including live BBC, CNN and Sky TV broadcasts). Key note speaker at international conferences and to a diverse range of audiences across different sectors; including MPs at the House of Commons, Government officials in Korea;
