I currently am successfully employed as a Night Supervisor for Florida Plastic Recycling as well as being in charge of the maintenance divisions of the other shifts placing me in charge of 8 technicians. This includes developing work procedures as well as processes for maintenance control and turnover process for these technicians. My time in the US Navy was highly rewarding and built a background of hard work, integrity and ingenuity towards accomplishing a set goal or standard. Regardless of the field I'm in, I take that focused work ethic and dedication to the best product/result into every project or position I work in. In addition to my technical experience which I discuss below, I have a lot of experience with leadership, personnel management, and project coordination. I've learned the hard way how to overcome challenges, adapt to schedule and procedural changes, as well as improvise when clear cut answers are no longer an option. As the leader of a division I've had to manage both personnel time as well as commitments while ensuring the job gets done. This has also taught me how to communicate effectively, establish a good rapport with my coworkers and employees as well as create a safe, exciting work environment. As a First Class Nuclear Trained Electrician's Mate in the United States Navy, I have 12 years of experience as a Nuclear Power Plant operator, electrical equipment operator and technician. I've conducted thousands of man-hours of maintenance both preventative and corrective on electrical equipment to include motors, generators, pumps, lighting, as well as various control equipment such as circuit breakers, controllers, PPCs. As a member of a division of 12 technician/operators I've acted as the Repair Part coordinator in charge of research, purchase, receipt and distribution of repair parts to ensure equipment operated and maintenance was able to be conducted. I maintained inventory and stock control of frequently failed parts, parts required for preventative maintenance, as well as history of past failure parts which failed. This job included coordinating with non-divisional groups to complete larger maintenance items requiring assistance from more technical groups.I was also in charge of performing and tracking a variety of calibration equipment on meters, gauges, and automatic switches. This included performing calibration based maintenance as well as troubleshooting these components upon failure. I was solely in charge of tracking and scheduling the maintenance of these parts and ensuring no components went out of periodicity.
