As a Senior Software Engineer at Bypass I play a two different roles. I lead a team of developers using Scrum Project Management practices to deliver high quality software to our customers and I am an individual contributor that builds robust features for our Android based point of sale software.My goal as team lead is to use my skills as a certified scrum master to establish and maximize "flow". I make sure all members of the team are not blocked during the sprint and also facilitating retrospectives to help the team find areas to experiment and improve. I look at data like cycle time and the average age of bugs to find bottlenecks and present them to the team to figure out how we want to improve in those areas.My other responsibility is to be an individual contributor and technical lead for our Android applications. I promote strong architectural principles and keep my finger on the pulse of new Android development libraries and frameworks to build robust and scalable features. I then mentor and train new developers to make sure all contributors are coding with these principles in mind.

At Bypass Mobile I helped create the Android based point of sale software used by our clients all over the country. My core responsibility is to take business requirements and add them to the software from design to completion. I implemented both UI elements and the underlying business logic of a feature, collaborating with web developers to create a completed product.

At Accenture I have a variety of responsibilities. I worked on testing for a short time where I would work through the application and document any defects I would find and fix them. I also worked on batch process development for a short time.

Developed and maintained internal software systems. The system was created using Ruby on Rails and applications included a report management system, IT ticket filtering and searching application, and others.
