The Utilisation of Chelex and Qiagen extraction methods for poor quality samples, in specific instances. The use of real-time PCR assays to idenitfy diseases such as Hoof Wall Separation Disease (HWSD) and Warm Fragile Foal Syndrome (WFFS) from equine samples. The use of GeneMapper 4.0 software, to analyse data generated from capillary electrophoresed equine MS DNA, in order to parentally verify samples.
