As an assistant mine planning engineer- Drill and blast, my job responsibilities and deliverables in this position includes:*Worked in the drilling and blasting section to generate drilling and charging plans for Sentinel pit and Sentinel quarry.*Undertook a number of optimisation studies including mine to mill, vibration modelling and smooth blasting.*Produced accurate drill and charging designs in accordance with the short term plan.*Undertook QAQC tasks that increased the compliance and efficiency in job execution.*Reviewed QA/QC data, digging rates, and blast videos. This resulted in an optimised blast design pattern for extremely hard-very hard domains in the Sentinel Pit.
