Experienced Commercial/Project Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the transportation and railroad industry. Level 4 NVQ in Business Management Since 2015, I have been working with Crossrail and LU engineering colleagues ensuring the new assets being installed comply with LU standards, whilst managing risk to staff is ALARP for maintenance colleagues. Chairing various meetings with stakeholders (Engineering, Maintenace, Commercial, Finance & HSE) ensuring handover is achieved with no further delay.My most recent success was an initiative with a colleague called Recover Reuse whereby we recovered all unused end of project materials, equipment and plant and offered back out to other areas of the TfL business, thus offering savings in real time to the business. We achieved a £2M saving in 3 years including rescuing all redundant signage and heritage items for the London Transport Museum, to the tune of over £170k. We also achieved a reduction in wastage to the business. It was so successful that the initiative was taken into the Materials Dept. for ongoing savings for the business.Pre 2015 I was a Business Systems Manager within LU Stations Dept. managing the Stations Maintenance Manager’s £22M budget to within 4% accuracy. Also acting as a PM for all Lift, Escalator and Pump Capex for works between £50k to £750k via AAMP and managing all Minor Works within Stations environment. I have been a Parish Councillor for my local Parish Council for 2 terms, I was a lead for Youth in the Council. Biggest success was to apply for funding for a Summer Activities and was successful. Arranged for a week of activities for the youngsters. I strongly suggest to join a Parish Council if offered a chance as it’s an excellent way to understand local government and planning regulations. I and 3 others started up a Cricket Club in Grange Park in 2005, and we were successful over the next several years, growing from 1 adult team to 2 adult teams plus 3 youth teams. We joined the South Northants Cricket League and visited some lovely villages. I after finished playing was the Secretary, Head of Youth System plus the club umpire. I was for a year the Coach of South Northamptonshire District U11 team, whilst we didn’t win the competition against the other Districts, I’m proud to have been able to coach such talented youngsters in the South Northants League. BTW the only time an U11 player scored a century was under my watch! 😉
