I have begun to deliver Linux performance analyses over the last 1 1/2 to 2 years. Over the years I have worked for AT&T, Computer Technology Group, Amdahl Corp., Tolerant Systems (became Veritas) and Hewlett Packard/Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Specialties: HP-UX performance specialist...with a heavy internals background. Engagements include on-site and remote performance analysis of HP-UX systems and delivery of the "HP-UX Internals" seminar and Performance Manger seminar on-site. Developed and delivered multiple seminars on Performance Analysis and HP performance tools...Performance Manager, Performance Agent, Operations Agent, etc.Recently added a new Linux performance deliverable including the analysis of the kernel data along with the standard CPU, memory, disk, network and NFS performance data metrics. I either use HP Performance Agent data, Operations Agent data or collectl data for these. I developed a 'smaller' (Linux Lite') deliverable that uses sysstat and kSar for graphs. I also use the Linux kitrace kernel tool to analyze the kernel data...data that is not available from any other performance tools.Over the years I have presented both seminars and papers, on performance and O/S internals at InterWorks, HP World and HP Discover conferences/conventions. I have been a Senior Instructor and course developer for all of the above-mentioned companies. I also developed some of the first UNIX and C Language video course ware while at Computer Technology Group (a division of Telemdia based in Chicago).I co-authored the "HP-UX Performance Cookbook". This is the most widely read HP-UX performance paper in the world.
