I love programming. At our wedding, my wife-to-be dressed as Ada Lovelace and I was Charles Babbage. The best man dressed as Bjarne Stroustrup and the bridesmaids wore dresses made of regular expressions. The cake was a Perl script, shaped as a camel. For our honeymoon, we spent two weeks in Haskell.I don't count sheep to fall asleep, I count the number of methods in a Java API. If I really can't nod off then I count the number of PHP functions with inconsistent parameter definitions.I read bedtime stories to my daughter, but we don't read Horrid Henry or Mr Men, we have tons of fun poring over Ritchie's C book. When she was born I wanted her middle name to be Guido, but my wife was having none of that - Emily van Rossum Claridge has a ring to it too.I believe in:Keeping it simple, getting things done, releasing early and often, single-tasking, optimising later, convention over configuration, unit testing
