Key Achievements:1. Campus Services awarded Investors in People 2008.2. Re-organisation of the shift control function, accruing substantial savings for the University.3. In partnership with the Oxford Centre for Learning and Staff development introduced a structured training plan featuring NVQ courses for all front line staff including SIA training for security operatives.Duties:During my time at Oxford Brookes University I was part of the Estates and Facilities senior management team, responsible to the Director of Estates and Facilities; for the strategic development, financial planning and policy development of Estates and Facilities. As well as providing direct line management of a team of five operational managers and the service delivery of front line customer facing departments. My role also encompassed liaison with external agencies on sensitive matters and external contract management (Cleaning, Security and Waste management). The University gross floor area exceeds 100,000sq.m, management of a pay and non pay budget of circa £2,000,000.

Key Achievements:Managed the bid process through the competitive tendering process to winning of the bid to provide the Cleaning Service In-House.Carried out a review and operational reorganisation of Public Convenience Cleaning operation, working closely with the Councils Business Support Unit, Human Resources and Trade Union Officials.Duties:Facilities Manager based at the City Hall in Belfast and directly responsible for the day to day management of the maintenance (electrical, mechanical, carpentry) and support services teams (cleaning, security function support and caretaking) based in the City Hall, Cecil Ward Building, CAB and Computer Services.
