13 weeks Javascript bootcamp course where I trained in the fundamentals of Javascript and both front and back-end development.In back-end, I have learned how to use full test driven development to create functions for use within projects, as well as using SQL and Express to create a working API for a given database, including accounting for errors. During this section of the course I created and hosted an API using a provided database.In front-end, I have learned the process of planning out an app and then how to create it using ‘react’ and then link it to an API which can then dynamically respond with information and update the display and CSS styles based on the output. The group project had myself and 4 others work on an app together over 3 weeks, this was to develop more team based skills as well as understand how a project is planned from start to finish. From planning the mvp, to creating a kanban board with all the user stories, and daily stand-ups to review progress. For this project we utilised completely new technology in the form of Svelte for our front end and firebase for the back-end, this showcased the skills I had learnt from the course as I was able to quickly come to grips with this new technology and even assumed a role to help other team members to understand more.

This job had me managing both the implementation and overseeing of various recruitment based projects including:• ATS (applicant tracking system), including making necessary changes to help to the system to streamline the recruitment process and pull data from it for reports.• Automated job advertising platform, for managing the recruitment budget and allocating it where needed.• All job boards used by the recruitment team, including Indeed and NHS jobs. This involved liaising with company reps to help strategise the best plan of action for recruiting in a post-covid environment in the health and social care sector.A big aspect of my role included being adaptable to any small or large issues and requests that might come up, including pulling reports, and assisting in recruitment needs when vacancy numbers rapidly rose.

I worked as a bar staff at a local bar during a year long academic break. I was regularly serving customers both food and alcohol, as well as upholding a clean and hygienic work environment. I would also get my self involved in many of the activities the bar would hold, including: pub quizzes, karaoke nights and games evenings.
