Recognizing that every client is different, Stephen effectively adapts his approach to their unique wants, needs, and circumstances to ensure their best interests are protected.As a partner at Epstein Cole, Stephen’s practice focuses on all areas of family law including custody, mobility, financial, and commercial matters. He has appeared in various levels of court acting on both trial and appellate matters. Stephen has extensive experience representing clients in mediations and arbitrations and has been appointed as a Dispute Resolution Officer for the Superior Court of Justice in Toronto. As a member of the Office of the Children’s Lawyer panel since 1998, Stephen represents children in high-conflict court cases and consults on complex family law issues to protect the rights of children by giving them a strong voice, where necessary.Stephen is on the editorial review board of the Reports of Family Law and has spoken at a number of conferences on various topics in family law.He was recently selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2020 Edition of The Best Lawyers in Canada for his work in family law.Integrity is of the utmost importance to Stephen.
