This origination role for TMT is proving very rewarding and reflects the Corporate Access experience I’ve accrued within previous positions. The logical step brings me back onto the trading floor in an area that I really thrive in.

As Head of Corporate Access Execution, EME, I managed a team of 18 people responsible for the delivery of roadshows and conferences across all asset classes. I actively shaped global technology projects to enhance the firms corporate access capabilities, ensuring counterparts needs were fulfilled by factoring in their reporting requirements. Collaborating with COOs in equities and research, I provided oversight of budget and volumes, whilst shaping strategy for individual sectors with corporate access plans. Risk management for auditors and the evolution of process through Covid were significant projects that I actively led on. HR, recruitment and training responsibilities were ably delivered whilst also being part of the division’s leadership team.

Working in collaboration with senior equities stakeholders, I was responsible for the management of Barclays European corporate access budget and optimising the ROI across the product portfolio. Actively participating in meetings for the firms high profile conferences to shape content, along with a plethora of reporting requirements to assess spend against productivity and impact were a core feature of the role. Devising strategy with business counterparts for the implementation of MiFID II into corporate access was a significant project that was successfully undertaken.

Managing a team of 20 people whilst the permanent head of the team is on sabbatical. I have taken on all HR functions for the team including recruitment, whilst coinciding this with my Relationship Manager role for Equities.

Part of a new Corporate Access team that set about establishing Jefferies' European operation. Working closely with the Head of Equity Sales and Research Management, this was a very empowering role.Handling conferences with up to 210 participating companies, managing deal roadshows and all non-deal event types. This new and exciting initiative proved to be a good opportunity ahead of the move to Barclays.

Building on the fast start that I'd made at Lehman Brothers to deliver deal and non-deal roadshows. Putting together conferences and results presentations were a regular occurance. The most rewarding part of my time there though was the opportunity to be a team leader and build invaluable management skills.

A quite simply brilliant company to work for, irrespective of the ending. Thrown in at the deep end, I was running the logistics for EQ & FICC deal roadshows within a couple of months of arriving. Conferences and all non-deal event types were a part of the daily role. It was a great learning curve and having thrown myself into it, I obtained the maximum from this experience.
