Further developing a career in power, control, instrumentation, telemetry, and communications systems for the Atlas launch vehicle produced great experience in Avionics system design, failure investigation & analysis, troubleshooting, process improvements, supplier and subcontract technical management, invaluable presentation capabilities, project leadership, as well as learning along side the best engineers, government customers and launch site personnel in the industry.

Starting a career as electrical engineer in hardware design group for electrical harnessing, cabling and component packaging led to a great understanding of requirement flow down, proper documentation, analytical methodologies, and supporting active avionics design implementation in a corporate environment (in other words, drinking from a firehose and trying to absorb everything). Martin Marietta merged with the Lockheed company in late 1994. This portion of my career included multiple projects and supported customers in-the-field as well as internal design and manufacturing liaison efforts.
