In the absence of the Director of Operations handles any resignation or termination of operational employees, investigates and resolves complaints, and implements corrective action plans when needed.Work with the Communications Supervisor to develop and utilize proper communications procedures in coordination with emergency response partners, monitors response times and compliance and assist in the scheduling of communications equipment maintenance and upgrades.

Develop and manage the QA/QI plan including collecting, summarizing, and evaluating performance data in accordance with ASM standards and regional protocol. Maintain documentation of QI and related activities in compliance with HIPPA and Connecticut Statutes, report any concerns regarding patient privacy and recommends procedures to ensure adherence to established standards. Present performance data findings, quarterly, to the Director of Operations; identify performance improvement priorities and recommend corrective action plans. Educate, train, and remediate EMT’s, AEMT's, Paramedics, and Dispatchers to achieve QA/QI plan goals.Act as a resource concerning regional protocol, standards of care, and ASM policies; assess and report any concerns regarding violation of regional protocol or Medical Control guidelines to the designated EMS Coordinator or Medical Control. Coordinate and implement various weekly, monthly and quarterly audits including Medicare audit remediation in cooperation with Corporate Compliance.Review patient care reports for accuracy, patient information, dispatch controlled times, billing information, necessary signatures, and patient care appropriate to the patient and level of care.

Responded to emergency 911 calls throughout the Greater Hartford area. Cared for and treated diverse patients during emergency, routine and critical care transfers and assisted myriad agencies in the delivery of Advanced Life Support care.Trained newly graduated paramedics in the delivery of pre-hospital care while performing challenging and emotionally charged calls for aid from the general public.Performed daily fleet inspections, responded to nearly one thousand calls for aid per year, assisted in promoting new supervisors and changed company policies and procedures.Acted as Staff and Shift Supervisor.
