Department: Waste Management – South East CorkDuties: Duties were to project manage civil engineering contracts for Youghal, Carrigtwohill and Raffeen waste management facilities to the value of €7million. Provide input and design concepts/alternatives to consultant engineers/contractors. Evaluate consultant’s design, tender documents and final tender assessment. Validation of contractor payments, approve health & safety statements, adherence to design specification, quality control, enforce EPA license requirements and approve method statements. I was assistant manager for all facilities to cover for holidays and sick leave. Duties were to manage the day to day running of facilities, including managing staff and dealing with customers, the EPA and any environmental impacts that would affect the EPA licence requirements.

Department: Waste Management Duties: Design office duties were site assessment, planning, scoping reports, project design management, production of tender documents and tender assessment. On-site project management of landfill projects with monetary costs from €2million to €13.5million. On-site duties included validation of contractor payments, sub-contractor tender analysis, design corrections, approve health & safety statements, adherence to design specification, quality control, enforce EPA license requirements and approve method statements.
