I was responsible for providing key information to assist the team with operational support development for GCC partners that were in-line with the regional and general REM group strategic plans. The role was business holistic in nature and involved working in close concert with Retail, Marketing, Product Sales teams to help create a market specific plan and driving the execution the operational elements on the ground.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the role entailed all brand related functional management, included but not limited, the creation and implementation of brand strategies, sale channel development, mono brand retail concept(s) development and the establishing of a “team sport” sales channel with federations, clubs and schools across the GCC.

Reporting to the Senior Brand Controller, the role involved the development and growth of Nike concept stores in UAE and Kuwait (franchise). Provide coordination and leadership to teams (internal and brand) and functions that included but not limited to store construction, retail marketing, product strategy development, and inventory management across both mono brand and sporting goods channels.

As part of the inaugural rollout of multiple sporting goods retail concepts (GO Sport & Sports Direct), my responsibility included budget setting (with merchandise planner), range development, assisting internal supply chain with seasonal flow, inventory management, performance analysis and future strategy development

Responsible for purchasing and managing the sell-in and sell-through of niche lifestyle and watersport brands such as O’Neill, Hurley, HO Sports and Zoggs amongst others for the biggest watersport/ lifestyle company in the GCC.
