Stephen Cork has over 40 years’ experience in the planning, design and development of commercial ports, specialist terminals and maritime infrastructure projects worldwide, including a period of five years based in Singapore managing ports and terminals development projects throughout South East Asia, two years based in Hong Kong working on the Hong Kong Port Master plan and two years ports and bulk terminal planning and development in Brazil. He has been responsible for ports and maritime infrastructure planning and development, including the planning, design and construction of specialist import and export terminals for petrochemicals and LNG in Africa, South America, India, Mediterranean and Asia regions. He has been responsible for equipment selection and procurement, as well as economic, financial, managerial and operational studies. He has been retained as an Expert Witness by major ports and government agencies and as a ports and maritime specialist by international funding agencies including the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, UNDP, EIB, EBRD and ODA. He has chaired major international port conferences in UK and overseas and is the author of numerous publications and technical papers on port development. He is a committee member (Past Chairman) of PIANC UK Section, Chairman of the PIANC International Working Group 158 on Port Planning, Mentor of PIANC International Working Group 135 on Container Terminal Design and Working Group 167 on RoRo and RoPax terminals and Head of Ports and Terminal Development at HR Wallingford, UK.
