I am a company director at The Richard Stephens Partnership Ltd M&E building services design consultancy and have been with the practice since January 2008. During my time at RSP I have been fortunate to work with several experienced engineers and have developed my skills by learning from their many years in the industry in addition to my CPD and project experience.Also during my time with RSP I have completed my MSc and subsequently been accepted as a full member of CIBSE and been awarded Chartered Engineer status by the Engineering Council.I am fortunate to have been exposed to a number of varied and technically challenging projects, and am looking to maintain this development in order to acheive my long term goal of Director/Partner level.Previously, having graduated with a BEng (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering I entered employment in 2002 working for an NHS Trust within the hospital Estates department who were responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of the Estate, and the M&E building services in particular. During my 5 and a half years at RMH I progressed quickly demonstrating my work ethic, attention to detail and willingness to learn in becoming the senior engineer on site (under my role as Asst Estate Manager) responsbile for direct employed labour, maintenance contract procurement/management, site infrastructure and energy management amongst other minor roles. During this time I also entered in to the post-graduate MSc in Energy and Environmental Technology and Economics I later completed when with RSP. Having been invovled with capital projects within my role, I made the decision in 2007 to change disciplines and pursue a career in design consultancy to maintain my development and ensure I continued to be challenged technically.
