Hair Stylist
Here was where I gained my qualification in Hairdressing NVQ Level 2. During my time working here, my key role was to make sure every single client received an excellent service. I welcomed clients, asked to take their jackets/coats and offered refreshments. At the start of my training I was taught the basics, such as hair washing and cleaning the salon to create a clean environment for clients and work colleagues. As I progressed, I was then able to move onto doing hair services, these included Cutting, Hair Colouring and Blow Drying. This was another huge confidence boost for me! Dealing with clients and creating different hair styles, alongside keeping with the hair fashion. I made sure clients were happy with the duration of visiting the salon and being available for them if they had an issue with their service. Also, I was trained on Reception Duties, these included; answering the phone, replying to emails for my boss', taking bills and offering products for home care. I was the promoter of the salon, where I advertised the salons special offers and competitions on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, and broadcasting pictures and videos of work done within the salon on Instagram.
