As an Expert Support Consultant at HKA I am a non-technical project coordinator, client liaison manager and technical expert manager. Key aspects of my role include being the point of contact for experts, expert / client liaison, appointing experts to projects and proposal development, admin support and invoice approval. Additionally the Expert Support Team works alongside a technical project manager to assist in the management of active projects. This includes handling and managing client enquiries, liaising with external experts on enquiries, processing enquiries to jobs, including, handling modifications to our standard terms of appointment to set contractual agreements. Once the project is in motion I am also involved in project timeline management and budget management – managing job hours and costs.One of the larger facets of my role is assisting with report writing and planning / document review and managing internal peer reviews. As a non-technical advisor we approach each technical report to ensure the is fully readable by a laymen, which is required to be CPR35 compliant in the UK. In addition I am involved in maintaining client relationships, client recruitment and attending business development events. Also, I am heavily involved in the Consulting Expert recruitment including researching and identifying suitable candidates, making the initial calls to gauge interest and then manage the full sign-up process.
