I underwrite and managed an export credit insurance risk portfolio of 24 Caribbean and Latin American countries. I am solely responsible for underwriting most of the English-speaking Caribbean/CARICOM region, the five US territories, the Dominican Republic, and Ecuador.I utilize credit agency reports and financial statements in both English and Spanish to analyze financial strength and establish credit lines for trade payables. I have Strengthened business relationships via travel to foreign countries for site visits to buyers and customers.I ensure the accuracy of internal data of buyers in USA, Central America & Caribbean regions. Key Contributions1. Prepared and delivered reports and presentations to regional & global credit committees.2. Obtained authority to underwrite credit limit application amounts up to €2,000,000. Routinely prepared and reviewed applications of amounts of up to €10,000,000.3. Trained new underwriters.4. Assisted our IT department with testing of system upgrades, and assisted in preparation of training materials for other staff5. Worked with Atradius Country Committee to develop underwriting principles and policies for countries under my ownership with exposure over €30 million.
