Recent retirement from the federal government agency as a Senior Management Analyst (community relations and public affairs). Currently, I'm utilizing the next few quarters in 2017 to provide pro bono services to nonprofit organizations within the community at large (urban neighborhoods). Current projects include building the capacity of an ad hoc faith-based organization to address it's community development concerns in a local city council district. Second, helping a Los Angeles County Service Planning Area's Homeless Coalition as far as its communication and outreach efforts to help stem the increasing numbers of homeless in Area's underserved communities. The Department of Housing and Urban Development initially hired me as a Community Builder and, despite my staff designations, promotions and community relations/development assignments, I will always consider myself to be a 'community builder' at heart. As such, it is essential that I [continue to] use my professional skills and talents by "giving back to my community."
