Stephen recruited, trained, motivated and led teams of AoEC coaches into organisations as an International Coach Federation (ICF) Accredited Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with 24 years experience working 1:1 enabling people to achieve their goals. Stephen completed his MA dissertation case study during this period on evaluating Executive Coaching and it is available on request.Stephen created powerful partnerships and utilised his signature presence to offer challenge and support to leaders, raising their awareness of themselves and their impact on relationships and the organisational system, enabling them to in excel. Stephen coached CEO’s and Senior Execs in UK, Europe, Qatar and Singapore. Stephen was also a regular speaker at Coaching Conferences in this period. Stephen was a lead facilitator on Nokia’s Global Inspiring Leader Programme in Finland, monthly for 3 years, co-led AoEC Practitioner and Advanced Diploma Coaching Programmes and was also the coaching consultant to the Royal Naval Leadership Academy.

In parallel to his business career Stephen ran a private practice working with private clients on personal issues for 10 years as a counsellor ( 4 years training, then qualified) and Gestalt psychotherapist ( he completed a 5 year training course but decided to qualify with a Masters Degree in executive coaching, rather than as a psychotherapist). This work included 4 years as a volunteer youth counsellor in Wandsworth, South London 1990-1994. During this period Stephen attended 12 years of weekly therapy (starting in 1988), 9 years of consecutive monthly training (see qualifications), 6 years of weekly group therapy and 10 years of regular clinical supervision. This exstensive (and very challenging!) experience, personal development and heightened self -awareness differentiates Stephen from other coaches and maximises his ability to support his clients today to achieve their goals and aspirations.

Stephen had a 15 year career in the travel industry and was selected for a consultancy project with Walt Disney Florida and then personally chosen by Sir Freddie Laker to lead the Sales & Marketing for the re-launch of the Florida based airline in 1997. The role included liaison with Sir Freddie and his board in Florida and the design of a TV, Radio and Press advertising campaign for the UK relaunch of the airline. This was an extended contract appointment while Stephen completed his psychotherapy training.
