Previously Steve was opening GM for Marriott Odessa Texas Hotel and Conference Center., award winning GM of the Marriott University Park Salt Lake City, and the 4 diamond Hotel ICON Marriott Autograph Collection hotel in Houston Texas. While leader of Hotel ICON, they received 2014 Hotel of the Year award for Marriott Autograph Collection western region. Prior to that, Steve was General Manager of Clarion Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. 12 story hotel and casino, 2 show rooms, food & beverage, retail and weddings. Formerly the Greek Isles and Debbie Reynolds Hotel & Casino, it was located just off the Las Vegas Strip near the convention center. During his tenure at Clarion, Steve also was transition General Manager of Hooters Hotel Casino Las Vegas May 2012 through April 2014. In addition Steve provided regional support for other hotels such as the CalNeva Resort and Spa Lake Tahoe and the Highmark Steamboat Springs Colorado. Steve’s background includes years as Rooms Director, Director of safety and security, Restaurant Management, and Housekeeping Night Manager at the 1639 room Palmer House Hilton in Chicago. Success is achieved through a successful background in hotels from the Pointe Resorts in Phoenix along with resorts in Tucson & Chicago area to San Antonio. Steve has a track record of revenue growth, occupancy growth; better than plan flow through and exceeding budgeted GOP and Net incomes. He is the recipient of many national hospitality management awards.Steve had a previous career in sports management, Radio and TV.
