N56 Boyoughter to Kilkenny Road Scheme (6.7m Tender Price).Working as part of the Employer's Representative's team on a 5km upgrade of a section of the N56 from Boyoughter to Kilkenny, Co. Donegal.Main duties include: • Keeping comprehensive records of works done and list of plant & labour on site. • Ensuring Health & Safety in accordance with current legislation. • Document control and keeping of registers. • Preparing monthly Progress Reports. • Attending site meetings. • Liaising with the Contractor, the Client and landowners in relation to issues arising on site. • Ensuring that the works are constructed in accordance with the contract requirements. • Check settlement levels on surcharge and overlay areas.I also assisted the Site team on the following tasks: • Checking Contractor’s submissions and drawings. • Responding to the Contractor’s request for information. • Administer the Contract using the Public Works Contract for Civil Engineering works designed by the Employer. • Provided assistance on site to solving construction issues. While working as a Graduate Engineer in this project I have further developed my I.T skills in Microsoft Office, particularly in Word and Excel. I have also gained a new skill in 3D software. Using this software I mapped the location of the new mainline and added the proposed safety barrier in order to determine if the required sight lines could be achieved. My practical engineering skills were also developed through the course of this project as I was in charge of monitoring the road levels on the overlay section, and assisting the Contractors Engineer in a joint survey of the surcharge area. I was also involved with checking the setting out of various aspects of the works using a Trimble GPS.
