Implemented the same investment philosophy and process as when at Putnam with a focus on combining a sophisticated quantitative model with dynamic bottom up stock picking and became an early advocate and adopter of ESG. For the first time began to incorporate ESG directly into investment process relying on both S&P ESG analysis and scoring as well as direct ESG discussions with corporate managements. ESG scores were directly incorporated into the team's scoring mechanism and fundamental analysis of corporates. Routinely challenged managements from around the world on their commitment to and execution of ESG into their businesses. Successfully achieved positive recommendations/ratings from consultants such as Mercer, Aon Hewitt, NEPC, Meketa, Milliman, Cambridge Associates, Pioneer, Zenith, JANA, et al.
