While a crisis counselor for The Trevor Project I employed trauma-informed adaptable empathy, active listening, and problem identification/solving skills while Supporting individuals struggling with a diverse set of issues including disability supported affordable housing, anosognosia, crises support (including suicidal ideation), locating therapists, panic attacks, incarceration with mental illnesses, and filing complaints.

As an extern, I assist in administering group psychotherapy, psychological assessment, clinical supervision, and attend seminars.

In the Diverse Family Relationships lab, I coordinate with my fellow research assistants, and our graduate assistant to set up focus groups for our study, and meet to learn more about the effects of Covid-19 pandemic has had on parenting children ages one to five.

As a learning Assistant for the biology department, it is my responsibility to hold weekly office hours, help students with in class problems, facilitate lecture discussion, and grade journals for the BISC1111 and BISC1112 classes. This also requires taking a graduate level pedagogy course in teaching and education. Principle researcher: Dr. Ellen YeungWhile working with Dr. Yeung, I am responsible for coding and thematic analysis of survey responses to analyze relationships between the common perceptions of alcohol use. Working in research lab, I coordinate with my fellow research assistants, and our graduate assistant to set up focal groups for our study, and meet to learn more about the effects of addiction have on our brain chemistry and our psychological reward/anticipation complex.

Principle Researcher: Dr. Gabriela RosenblauAs a research intern for the GW Developmental Social Neuroscience Lab, I am responsible for recruitment of participants, data entry and analysis, scoring participants, talking on the phone with the parents of potential participants, sending proper compensation to participants who have completed the study, and literature review. Our lab is getting participants in the DMV area and using data from the National Children's Hospital to take fMRI scans of children ages eight to seventeen while testing their social and asocial learning.

As blood drive Coordinator, I collaborate with the rest of the E-Board of the Red Cross Club to plan events, schedule and organize monthly Blood Drives for the GW community, actively communicate with the representative from the Red Cross to hold successful Blood Drives.

As Co-Public Relations Officer of the GW Red Cross Chapter, I am responsible for keeping our Instagram up to date with the current events fo the club by posting important updates, club meetings, and local blood drives. We are recently promoting our blood battle with UMD and John's Hopkins in a competition to see which school can collect the most blood to donate.

As a canvasser, I go door to door knocking on DC local resident's doors and offer them flyers and ways to know more about Mr. Czapary and what he wants to accomplish if elected to be join of Ward 1's council. if elected, Sarah will the first ever Arab American council member and the only openly gay member since 2015. Sarah wants to update our emergency management system to create a network within the 911 response system that allows for different professionals to respond to all types of emergency situations not just police officers. He also wants to make roads more pedestrian centric and increase police accountability by extending the training and probationary periods. These policies are what I believe will make a true difference in how we treat individuals with mental illness and psychological issues and also increase public safety.

As the social media manager of the GWUR, I am in charge of updating the Instagram, twitter, facebook, and other social media platforms to give important updates on activity fairs, our magazine, and meetings. I also serve as a social science editor for this years research magazine.

While in the pandemic, very few places were open in the time of lockdown. Therefore I decided to get a part-time job on the weekends while being full-time at college online. While working for the outlet, I was responsible for restocking supplies, cleaning the store, working the register, assisting people finding certain beverages, foods, and other commodities.

While being an intern at the wound clinic, I assisted with patient discharge, running lab samples, and getting appropriate suture kits and dressings. During my time in the clinic, I saw many diseases such as appendicitis, flesh wounds, and other complex procedures that require continued advance treatment.

While working at big snow I was responsible for handing out jackets and pants to customers. This experience refined my communication skills coordinating with my coworkers to fit any family that enters in the park. On the weekends, when the mall was still opening, we would be extremely busy and had to improvise and think quickly to keep the crowd calm and try to serve everyone in a timely fashion.

As a lab intern for the pathology department at Hudson Regional Hospital, I assisted the lab technician in organizing and analyzing lab samples for patient diagnosis and discussed complications, possible causes, diseases, and treatments with analyzed samples.
