I have been at XP Power for 25 years, and have been the Engineering Manager for the past 9 years. Currently responsible for the European Custom Power division, this role demands a hands on approach, to problem solving and project management. Leading a team of 10 engineers, covering a range of tasks from specification writing, through concept design, initial prototyping, test, and compliance testing. I have a strong commitment to customer requirements and timescales, and the ability to resolve multi faceted engineering challenges. I also have responsibility for the whole product life cycle from inception to end of life.Previous roles at XP have included a range of application support functions, from responsibility for a product range, through targeted industry support, to management of European wide teams.

From apprentice where a wide range of skills were learnt, through to Field Sales were my responsibility was increase sales in Southern England finalising with Production Manager, where I was responsible for ensuring timely throughput through the production process, were targets exceeded £1m/month. Gained precious experience and knowledge in all aspects of power supply design, manufacturing and sales.
