Finalising, implementing and administering Cycling UK's Cycle Advocacy Network (CAN) of local campaigners and groups across the UK. This role included:>> Selecting and onboarding over 250 new volunteer campaigners ('local representatives'), including detailed "getting to know each other" phone conversations, for each new local representative.>> Bringing across 60 existing volunteers from the previous volunteer network.>> Being the main contact point for enquiries, links, and the 'face' of CAN.>> Setting up, technically producing, and leading 'virtual gatherings' for network members. These included webinars, surgery consultations, ideas sharing spaces and a fledgling community of practice. >> Platforms included Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Gather.Town>> Using the Assemble volunteer recruitment/management software, alongside Microsoft Excel to administer the network and events.>> Learning Javascript and the Leaflet.js mapping package >> Representing and cheerleading for CAN within the wider organisation (staff)>> Writing blogs to explain and present CAN to the organisation membership (and beyond)

In this role I represented the needs of Christian Aid's core supporter base to the central organisation, and the needs of the organisation to the supporters, to maximise donations and campaign actions. I also worked to engage new groups of supporters and donors.>> I shared stories of transformation around the world through presentations, talks and sermons, to inspire and enrich commitment to the charity's cause>> I spoke widely on local radio, and wrote and presented 'morning thoughts' for the BBC>> I supported individuals and groups who organised campaign events and fundraisers>> I led on developing and delivering the 'Big Bike to Brekkie' annual fundraiser with a volunteer team at Winchester Cathedral>> I liaised with local fundraising groups on their annual programmes>> I coached my regional team colleagues in the use of Microsoft Dynamics CRM
