Led the technology group for the country’s largest high school media company. The NFHS Network streams over 800,000 live sports events per year which makes it, by event count, the World's largest OTT sports streaming platform. Joined as VP of Engineering and was promoted to CTO after 18 months. The technology stack is written in Typescript / Javascript, Go, and Ruby and built on AWS technologies including Lambda, DynamoDB, MySql RDS, ECS, EC2, CloudFront, WAF, API Gateway, CloudWatch, SES, SQS, and SNS.

Managed department of 72 engineers, responsible for 24x7 support of CNN's production systems in Atlanta, including the Digital Record and Edit (DRE) servers and storage, production media asset management (MAM), video archive and digital library (DAM), iNews newsroom computer systems, and over 200 edit bays and graphics creation workstations across CNN Center. Led the team developing newsroom applications in PHP, Java (Spring, Hibernate, JSP), and jQuery.

Led a group of 30 development, QA, and support engineers through the migration of Virage’s full suite of software products to a J2EE architecture. Lead technologist through acquisition by Autonomy Software and responsible for restructuring the engineering department to realign the Virage products within the Autonomy product family and ensure continued revenue for the group.

Manager for a team of 8 developers working on the Media360 Media Asset Management System. Worked with customers, product management, and strategic partners to extend the core functionality of the Media360 application to provide management of video and audio assets. This included integration with video catalogers, video servers, newsroom applications, and broadcast automation.
