Additionally, Boyd’s office prepared scores of witnesses for hearings and guided dozens of nominees through the Senate confirmation process.Boyd previously served as Chief of Staff of the DOJ’s Office of Legal Policy, the AG’s “think tank” tasked with developing internal litigation and law enforcement policies and evaluating federal regulations. In the Senate, Boyd served as Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville, a member of the Committee on Armed Services. Boyd managed the Senator’s staff and served as his top policy and political advisor. Boyd previously served as Chief of Staff to Rep. Martha Roby, then a member of the committees on armed services and appropriations. Boyd’s policy work in both the Senate and the House included national security and defense, intelligence, space, and legal and law enforcement issues.Boyd first served as an aide to Senator Jeff Sessions. Later, Boyd became Communications Director (Minority Staff) of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary where he worked extensively with national media and managed the response to two high profile nominations to the U.S. Supreme Court.Boyd has advised multiple successful congressional campaigns.
