Technology acquired by Solvay in 2016.• Reduced learning cycle time through rapid screening approach, team generated high performing additives at the highest rate in program history • Supported $3.5M DOE funded program with Farasis Energy, Inc. Contributed to 3x increase in cycle life through failure mode analysis and electrolyte formulation recommendation for high voltage Li-ion cells• Performed computational and electrochemical studies linking electrolyte degradation and failure mechanisms, guided team toward targets for new solvents and additives• Co-authored 7 patent applications for electrolyte formulations and invented new composition of matter • Initiated new R&D projects in wearable sensors/actuators, collaborated with DuPont Performance Polymers on new class of fluorinated elastomers curatives, resulted in 1 granted patent and new commercial curative system
