Manufacturing Process Specialist – Under minimal supervision, in this position I am responsible for being the subject matter expert (SME) related to procedures (SOPs), equipment and processes. I also maintain the blended role of functioning as the Source Process Improvement Specialist (OE/PSI). As the SME/PSI, I take part in meetings with the National Office and Divisional meetings in which I give guidance to the field and national office relating to quality, Lean/Six Sigma, and production improvements.

Vitalant (Blood Systems, Inc)-*Internal Quality Auditor – In my current position I perform internal audits and evaluations of processes against FDA CFRs, AABB, CAP, CLIA and TJC as well as different state and local standard operating procedure requirements in the blood production and distribution area. The audits include observations of process and techniques in production and collection, supply and equipment management, training and education, shipping and storage of products to name a few. As an internal auditor I daily share best practice techniques to improve quality and processes. BSI uses the DMAIC process for finding and improving quality issues.

Gaps audits include AABB, FDA, CAP, CLIA and TJC. I have developed training and Standard Operating Procedures for hospital clients. I have worked on multiple projects with customers that include Lean, Six Sigma, GMP training, Review and Rewriting of Transfusion Services Supervisor Handbook, PACE accredited training and CEUs.*The work performed in Lean/6Sigma included processing, testing, distribution and quality for different business processes. The main goal being to cut cost, improve efficiency and meet goals in many cases using less staff.
