With over two decades of experience across the UK and South Africa, I am a dedicated educator, manager, and coach committed to creating supportive and dynamic learning and boarding environments. Starting as a Mathematics and Physical Education teacher in London, I quickly moved into leadership roles that allowed me to foster systems that benefit students holistically.At King Edward VII School, I took on roles such as Head of Mathematics, Director of Pastoral and Discipline, and Senior Housemaster. I led initiatives to modernize disciplinary frameworks and improve pastoral care, with a focus on strategic growth and admissions. My work in developing King Edward’s boarding facilities and policies helped establish a supportive environment that ensured students thrived academically and personally.In the UK, I joined St John’s School, progressing to Assistant Head, Co-curricular. Here, I integrated diverse co-curricular activities into the school’s development plan, overseeing sports, arts, and enrichment programs to promote well-rounded growth. Balancing these initiatives with rigorous academic standards has helped cultivate an environment where students feel empowered to explore their interests outside the classroom.At the Royal Hospital School, my focus has been on enhancing boarding culture and embedding ICT into the mathematics curriculum. My recent role centres around pastoral care and academic support within the boarding house, where I’ve restructured the house to foster a family-like atmosphere. Core values like integrity and mutual respect are central to my approach, aiming to prepare students for both academic success and life’s challenges.A committed sports coach, I’ve led rugby, cricket, and athletics teams and contributed to the Duke of Edinburgh program.
