    I worked for Network Rail as an Operation Planner, I Transferred to Network Rail via TUPE arrangement from Amey on 01/04/2014.I currently cover LNW North area, my role consists of Planning Possession & Isolations. Inputting GZAC Requests, creating SSOW Packs and Task Briefing Sheets for Day to Day works and Possession works.I attend DPP and Area Planning meetings and Picop Briefings for our planned works, I have to liaise with other departments and contractors to arrange access and come to agreements/compromise to resolve work clashes.I also arrange RRV Plant and Road MEWPS for Bridge, Tunnel and Station examinations as well as raising purchase orders for these. Also resourcing all Safety Critical Staff and again arranging purchase orders ensuring best value for money is gained.I have to plan Traffic Managements which involve discussions with Local Councils and Network Rail as well as the Traffic Management provider.Manage De-vegetation works and sub-contractors to allow facilitation for Structure Examiners to undertake detailed tactile examination of structures.Manage access for Sub-contract Roped Access teams arranging wheels free possession access to allow anchorage to running rails to allow abseil of underbridges and viaducts.At weekends I work on site doing duties ranging from Engineering Supervisor to DC Isolations and undertaking site safety audits.My role includes On-Call Duty Manager which consists of deploying Structure Examiners to Bridge Strikes/Faults, logging and advising upon Possession issues and escalating within Network Rail when required and documenting lone workers and their locations and remaining in contact to ensure they are safe whilst on site alone.I also have an Assistant Planner who works under me, managing workload and reviewing work quality and signing off SSOW Packs as Responsible Manager.

Since my transfer to the Major Projects and Investment team, I have also been asked to plan various Major jobs, I have planned continued T3 Possessions, whether disruptive access or Rules of the Route opportunities for Gretna – Annan Re-doubling project, this has included having to discuss requirements with contractors, discussing and resolving any rail Possession issues e.g Train paths and access, also the planning of TSR’s.I have successfully planned Rail Possessions and Isolations for the Demolition of BR75X Hough Lane which is situated on the West Coast Mainline and also
