My husband and I started this nonprofit SATB chorus that gives back by donating 20% of the concert proceeds to other nonprofit organizations. We started this group because of my vision of having a community of singers that live the joy of singing, the joy of sending a positive message, and the joy of loving and accepting all people for who they are. I run the music program at this vibrant and progressive church. Each week, it is a great honor to lead, oversee, and collaborate with an amazing music team, a fantastic choir, and a professional praise band. Additionally, we have a wonderful women's ensemble, a great handbell choir, children's chimes, and children's choir. Working with the pastoral and program staff to create meaningful, multi-generational worship services sparks the imagination and brings a sense of accomplishment.

I help students uncover the root of their vocal issues and coach them toward healthy singing. Every student is completely different, so the approach to teaching each student is different. It is so fun to find the spark of what makes a student light up and take hold of the concepts that put them on the path of healthy, authentic singing.

Leading this organization began my love for nonprofit work. We had three major concerts every year and organization thrived. Because of my work here, I was selected to be on the Board of Directors for the Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses where I served for six years. As Artistic Director, I conducted both the Windy City Gay Men's Chorus and Aria, programmed and conducted the concerts, and helped with fundraising, social events, and festivals.
