FUNCTIONS- Strategic oversight and judgement supporting the Bank's expansion and growth.- Monitoring of governance, regulatory compliance, policy adherence and risk management. - Collaborative setting of the Bank's strategies, risk appetite and policies. - Engagement with the Board, Regulatory Authority and External Auditors. - Monitoring of horizon risks and market trends.

Member of the Bank’s Executive Committee, providing input with responsibility for ensuring that the Governance, Enterprise Risk, Credit and Control Frameworks of the Bank operate effectively as a 2nd line of defence. - Chair of the Bank’s Management Risk Committee and Credit Committee and a member of the Executive Committee, Asset and Liability Committee and the Business Assessment Committee.- Responsible for the Bank’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework, including the Risk Appetite Framework and the Risk Taxonomy.- Developing, enhancing and embedding the Enterprise Risk Management Framework for managing risks across the 2nd line.- Reporting of the Bank’s Risk Appetite Statement to the Board Audit and Risk Committee and the regulatory authority.- Ownership and responsibility of the capital assessment and risk profile report (ICAAP) and the Bank’s Recovery and Resolution Plan.-Providing effective leadership of the Risk function.-Developing, enhancing and embedding the Enterprise Risk Management Framework for managing risks across the 2nd line, ensuring that related policies and procedures are fit for purpose. -Formulating and articulating a coherent risk appetite and infrastructure.-Providing credit expertise oversight regarding portfolio composition, expectations and regulatory requirements.

Providing financial, analysis and solutions to clients relating to property funding and distressed scenarios for asset backed commercial, private, and buy to let loans.

Pre-approved Control Function role. Member of the Bank’s senior management team, leading a department of forty five staff with responsibility for formulating strategies, risk assessment, operational processes, procedures and key performance indicators on a large distressed loan book.

Head of Loan Recovery, reporting to the Chief Credit Officer. Responsible for managing a team of eleven credit recovery managers and managing a portfolio of high value distressed relationships, with a view to satisfactory workouts, including credit restructures

Responsible for the daily management, growth and development of the HSBC Bermuda's dedicated lending branch, leading a department team of twelve account officers.
