CEO for US operations of Guna Inc (a subsidary of Guna Spa Italy) from Aug 2010, May 2011, Unlike in Italy where Guna is mainly a distributor of other brands, the US operation offers products under their own brand, which for the most part, the do not sell in Italy. Established short & mid-term path based on SWOT and Six Sigma analysis, streamlined internal functions and reduced financial burdens, while improving client support and sales process. Initiated costing saving processes, revised SOP's to latest FDA standards, re-listed natural products as HPUS OTC rather than Rx, worked through European recall of sterile saline injectables, set new sales record for company, established internal sales, media, marketing, branding, graphic, training, clinical support and PR depts. Booked interviews on leading TV shows and exposure via other media avenues, in final contract negotiations with major hospitals, concluding immune studies framework to commence in the fall of 2011, initiated base for NA scientific committee. National training and enhanced professional support systems were entrenched, as was positive and progressive work with various FDA depts. As of late April 2011 Guna SpA (Italy), in their wisdom, decided it was an appropriate time to introduce their Italian system into the US operations, at which time I decided to step aside from GUNA Inc and focus entirely on my companies rather than spliting my time with Guna Inc. In all, this experience was very challenging and rewarding. It provided an environment to use every aspect of my experience and skills, and dig deeper.
